Studio site · Design & build
Sea View Lab.
My studio's site, designed and built end-to-end. One idea running through it: yin & yang — Engineering ⇄ Studio, two disciplines answering each other across every section.
The pitch
04 chaptersSea View Lab has two practices: Engineering (production-ready agentic AI systems) and Studio (cinematic AI films, creative direction). A generic studio site couldn't carry that. I wanted an object that embodies the complementarity, not just mentions it.
The core idea: yin & yang. Two disciplines, one practice — each strong on its own, stronger together. Not a tagline — the thread running through the whole page, from the hero "Agentic. Now." to the Engineering / Studio dual columns, through the dual workflow, down to the footer.
Two disciplines, one practice — each strong on its own, stronger together.
Art direction: deep blue, waves (the name Sea View, the fluidity), intentional whitespace, editorial. Bilingual FR/EN. Five cities as footprint: Paris, Lyon, Barcelona, Montréal, Lisbon — signal we operate at scale, not from a single HQ.
Design system from scratch, no template, no UI kit. Every section built as a stanza: Idea → Architecture → Agents → Guardrails → Observability → Production. The visitor doesn't read a services menu, they walk through a process.

Behind the scenes
04 stepsA studio site can't be a template.
Starting point: reject every starter, every UI kit, every copy-pasted 'studio site' pattern. The studio does agentic AI + cinematic AI — the object presenting it has to embody that duality, not just list it in a services block.
The yin & yang concept landed early. Two forces that complete each other, that balance, that produce a whole greater than the sum. Every section on the page is built to echo it — dual Engineering / Studio columns, alternating hues, workflow flowing from one side to the other.
Art direction: deep blue (the Sea in Sea View Lab), waves (fluidity, motion), editorial whitespace (breathing, gravitas). Zero AI-bro gradients, zero neon, no startup clichés.
Design + build solo, end to end. Native bilingual FR/EN. Five cities displayed (Paris, Lyon, Barcelona, Montréal, Lisbon) as studio footprint — signal that we operate across, not from a single office.
